SolidFire, the leader in all-flash storage systems built for the Next Generation Data Center, today announced that Business Intelligence Group named SolidFire CEO and Founder Dave Wright the winner of its Stratus Award for Cloud Executive of the Year. Furthermore, SolidFire was also named a finalist in the Cloud Disruptor and Cloud Integrator categories. The crowd-sourced industry awards program recognizes companies, executives and services whose innovative approaches are helping to accelerate the development and adoption of the cloud in consumer and business markets.
As CEO of SolidFire, Wright has become a visionary behind the transformation of IT and the transition to the cloud and the Next Generation Data Center. He has played an integral role in helping organizations evolve their IT infrastructure to realize benefits that were previously not possible. To achieve this, Wright led his team at SolidFire to develop a unique all-flash scale-out storage platform with guaranteed performance - offering the ability for enterprises and service providers to reliably handle dense, mixed workloads while ensuring that every application gets the performance it needs, no matter what other demands are being made on the storage array.
“The cloud has fundamentally changed the nature of computing and how business gets done. Storage is at the core of any cloud infrastructure but often it is the boat anchor holding businesses back. At SolidFire, we are committed to changing that by leveraging our storage architecture to drive data center transformation and deliver greater business value,” said Dave Wright, founder and CEO of SolidFire. “This award, in combination with our customers’ and partners’ success, shows that we are delivering on this promise. I share this award with every SolidFire employee, along with our customers and partners, as this success wouldn’t be possible without them.”
Under Wright’s leadership, SolidFire recently reached multiple milestones:
“The underlying theme in this year’s Stratus Awards program was ‘operational excellence,’” said Russ Fordyce, Managing Director of the Business Intelligence Group. “Each and every winner showed our judges how their innovations and execution strategies led to superior customer experiences and greater adoption of cloud-based services.”
