SolidFire and Red Hat: The path to the next generation data center
We asked a memorable question during our keynote at the OpenStack Summit in Vancouver: Where would you take your OpenStack cloud if storage weren’t a barrier? Respondents agreed: they would have the freedom to think up the stack to the application layer, be empowered to innovate faster, and get a better night’s sleep.
A couple short weeks later at Cisco Live, SolidFire announced its latest Agile Infrastructure for OpenStack, a pre-tested and validated reference design that allows users to deploy a rack-ready OpenStack cloud with Cisco servers/switches, SolidFire’s all-flash-storage, and Red Hat’s OpenStack distribution. With time-to-value as the chief concern, SolidFire’s Agile Infrastructure for OpenStack enables users to go from zero to OpenStack cloud in under 90 minutes.
Now SolidFire goes to Boston to participate as a proud sponsor of the 2015 Red Hat Summit. With OpenStack, Containers (Red Hat Project Atomic), and CloudForms shaping the future for Red Hat, we expect to see a flock of enterprise consumers and service providers looking to enter the devops mindset and accelerate their journey toward the next generation data center.
2015 has been a big year for SolidFire and Red Hat, with Red Hat selecting to showcase SolidFire from amongst 2500+ partners for the launch of Red Hat Connect. This was in no small part due to SolidFire’s continued leadership in the OpenStack ecosystem and development of enterprise-ready solutions through Agile Infrastructure. Together, we’ve helped a number of joint OpenStack customers, including FICO, maximize flexibility, decrease time to value, and reduce the TCO of their OpenStack deployments.
