Into the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays
It’s finally here: the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant (GMQ) for Solid-State Arrays. It’s the third year that it has been published and the third year that SolidFire has been recognized. This year, as part of NetApp, we are proud to be in the Leaders quadrant.
So much has changed here at SolidFire since the last GMQ was published in June 2015. But there is one thing that has remained constant, and that’s our relentless focus on delivering innovative solutions for next generation data centers in both enterprise private cloud and service provider segments. Now we do that as a part of NetApp, continuing to be a disruptive force in the industry and continuing to fuel the world’s most demanding cloud infrastructures — accelerating both the customer transition to solid-state arrays and to the cloud.
It has certainly been an interesting year in the storage industry; acquisitions, consolidations, and restructurings are commonplace. All this in a fiercely competitive, high growth environment where the incumbent storage vendors do battle with the new players. Throughout this we have remained focused, delivering innovation in the core SolidFire platform, the network capabilities required for large-scale deployments in multi-tenant environments, the tools and APIs required to reduce administrative burden, and the commercial models we offer that make the transition to flash compelling to current and future customers.
So let the disruption continue — we are proud to be at the heart of it and proud to be recognized as a Leader in the GMQ. Get the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant report at solidfire.com/gartner.
